HILL COUNTRY CATTLE WOMEN (HCCW) MAKE DONATION TO AND HOLD HAMBURGER FEED FOR THE HILL COUNTRY YOUTH RANCH
The Hill Country Cattle Women held a delicious hamburger feed for the students at the Hill Country Youth Ranch, a non-profit organization that provides a safe, loving and life-enhancing Christian environment for children and young adults who have suffered severe trauma from abuse or neglect. During the lunch, the Cattlewomen gave a presentation on the nutritional benefits of beef along with some of the history of cattle ranching. The students were also provided information about the HCCW scholarships for trade and academic schools. Finally, they were given bags stuffed full of recipes, coloring books and other goodies compliments of the Texas Beef Council. The students were exceptionally engaged in the information that was provided to them and actively participated in the discussion. The luncheon concluded with a presentation of a $500 gift certificate for the purchase of Beef from the Dutchman’s Market in Fredericksburg from the HCCW to help stock their pantry for the winter.
